Well, we are seriously close to having our second baby. Could even be tonight, who knows?
Harper seems to be very excited. She kisses my belly and calls the baby " her baby." She asks if she will be taking the baby to school with her and if the baby will like to play. Since we installed the second car seat she likes to tell anyone who will listen that "her baby will sit there."
When Harper was born and I was so overwhelmed with love and emotion I remember saying to Buster that I needed two full years with just her before we even thought about another baby. I just wanted to soak up every second of her without any other distractions and that is exactly what we did. It's incredibly hard to believe how quickly these years have passed as we rapidly approach her third birthday (this Saturday). It's even harder to believe that we are making another go at this parenthood thing. I mean, seriously, parents of two...now that's officially grown up.
Wish us all luck, especially Harper as her little world is probably going to be the most rocked. As a dear friend pointed out, as difficult as it may seem at first a sibling is the most wonderful gift we could ever give her. So, happy early Birthday Harper Mae. You'll always be our number one.
