From marching in 4
th of July parades, to first-time boat trips on the lake to a blissful 10 days at the beach, the
Phillies are having one heck of a summer.
Notice how sweetly Harper is holding on to Margot's arm in this picture. It was the first moment I realized what a wonderfully protective and caring big sister she is going to be.
That's Harper in the red shirt and massive hat. They made about 50 laps around the playground and I noticed half way through that she was crying as she marched. As she passed me (not breaking formation) she sobbed "my hat won't stay on top of my head." Bless her heart. I promptly removed it and she finished the parade with a smile.

oh! Bless her heart! And what is happening in that fabulous picture above, where Margot appears to be being snuggled by a 1940s movie star...?
That was when we went to the beach. It seems like just last week, but it was actually 1940. Or '41. Time flies!
Wait - the bonnet is killing me. Where's the machine gun?
