This is Harper's World. You're Just a Squirrel Trying to Get a Nut

"Wonder of all wonders, everything has changed."

--Thad Cockrell

So then there we are in the delivery room and we're finally meeting her. And then we're checking out of the hospital (down the hall from Jack White, incidentally). And then we're here, at the house, walking her through the front door. And then I'm back at work, a concept that seems to have been drained of all meaning and importance. And then we're here, on Mother's Day, almost two weeks after Harper came to join us.

The time was flying anyway; now it's simply evaporating.

So here's a wild swing at preserving some of it. It's also an attempt to spread a little bit of the love that is our lovely daughter to the maximum number of people with the minimum time commitment on my end. (Read that as efficient, not lazy.)

And how else can I let everyone know about all the cute firsts that we're checking off our big, new list?

For example, just this morning Harper barfed on herself.

Happy Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day indeed. And this truly is the easiest way to avoid having to keep e-mailing pictures to people.
p.s. Hurray for Harper.

Truly the best blog I have ever seen! She is beautiful and you were terrific in expressing the feelings that come with becoming a first time parent!

We miss you all!
